The passion I have for my music joined with my melodious material captures an immediate, emphatic response from the listener, sustaining interest throughout the duration of a performance. My Oldies & Classic Rock bring back allot of memories for many people. All of the wonderful Italian, French, Russian & Indian music in my repertoire stirs emotions.

Laura can also offer a voice soloist with her accompaniment. Her husband, T.J. has a wonderful singing voice. Laura enjoys working with him for different events such as Children's Parties, Wedding Functions, etc.
Laura's versatile performance background started with the precision of a Kilgore Rangerette in 1962, (officer..one year later,) the fun of Six Flags Over Texas shows, followed by the discipline of the TCU Ballet Department. She has danced with both the Fort Worth Opera Association and San Antonio Opera. Other dance credits include appearances on the Southwestern Bell TV Show and performing artist for the Texas Historical Society.
After completing her BFA in Ballet-Theater and MFA in Speech-Drama from TCU, Laura has been a choreographer, professor, singer and pianist.
She began studying piano at the age of 9 in her hometown, Atlanta, Texas. She was classically trained. Her teacher, Mrs. W.O. Harden, insisted that she learn music from the Romantic, Classical, and Baroque Eras. Early knowledge of the impressionist, Debussy, and the 20th century greats such as Sibelius were familiar studies for this young student.
While attending TCU for advanced degrees, Laura continued to study classical music with Lilita McCorkle, prominent member of the music faculty.
Laura's musicianship reveals that she is equally at home with Minuets, Romantic Waltzes, Ragtime, Jazz, and Pop.
Laura combines technique with melody to create her own arrangements of many song styles...familiar and new alike. Technical ability, imagination and her special touch further enables Laura to embellish music spanning many genres.
Not just a pianist....a creative, unique artist describes SOUNDS OF LAURA. This talented piano stylist designs beautiful musical programs with her varied sounds available on her 88 key professional, Yamaha, electric piano. Music on "Strings," "Grand Piano," "Electric Piano," "Harpsichord," "Organ," & "Vibes," is customized to fit the style and genre of music played. Sounds of Laura provided excellent live ceremony music for our wedding. Laura & I reviewed each song & the order of songs in advance. She is very flexible & willing to work with you on music. Since she is such a professional, I trusted her opinion & judgment & went with the list she proposed. But I did not want to enter to "here comes the bride" so she chose a more classical piece for my entrance. Her keyboard produces so many varieties of sounds, not only piano, but organ, pipe organ, & many other sounds. When we were developing the list of music, she would play me an example of each sound...here it is in piano, here it is in organ, etc...which I appreciated. My music was completly customized for me & our wedding day. Everything was perfect & we had so many compliments for having live music & not a CD. Sometimes, if there is a change or the timing is off, a CD seems off with the people walking. For example, we had some elderly people in the wedding so Laura could see them & time the music to their walk...the bridal party didn't have to adjust to the music; Laura adjusted and accommodated the music.
