Rachel Ohnsman
Overview
I'm experienced in many genres, including jazz, pop, r&b, theatre, folk and classical. Want something different? I'm a working singer-songwriter as well! As a solo musician, you only need me to hear your favorite songs or something new, making your event special on a budget.
I work with many musical configurations, from duo (drums and piano/voice) to a full 8-part band. I have performed sets of 50's music, classic R&B, modern pop, specific movies (Disney, etc.), and more, in addition to standard jazz and theatre rep and my own music.

About
Growing up in Pennsylvania, Rachel's upbringing was in classical and musical theatre, but she developed a serious interest in jazz and R&B after moving to Miami. Now, she infuses her original music with these various styles and influences like Joni Mitchell and Emily King to create a sound of her own. In addition to performing regularly, Rachel arranges vocal charts for a cappella groups, vocal jazz ensembles, and as backup for recordings. She currently teaches private lessons in both voice and piano.
Additional booking notes
In Miami: microphone, PA and piano can be provided.
Elsewhere: preferred spaces with microphone, PA and piano. A cappella performances or acoustic spaces not needing microphones are great, too.
