I like to bring alot of fun and energy into what I do. I can also be very versatile in the styles of music as well as how I present myself. Expect an energetic and exciting first impression and whatever is needed afterward. I'm good at reading the room
I started playing when I was a kid. My mom put me in lessons when she realized I had an ear for music like my father. The lessons lasted for only a few months before we couldn't afford them anymore. I took a break only playing off and on until my high school days when the first song I learned strictly by ear was His Mistakes by Usher. After that, I've been able to pick up and (link hidden) became a joy to learn new songs and hear different ways I can make them sound. Sort of a passion, I became the minister of Music at my church and still am to this day. I don't limit myself to gospel. I am also in a band providing inspirational and secular music curved toward the hip hop and R&B spectrum.
I can bring my own equipment as well as work with whatever is available at the venue. I don't require much but a power supply and a sound check.
I ask that you make your request of songs before hand so I can be tailored to you and your guests. Often times I play I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston and You Are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker for weddings and a variety of others. For gospel settings I usually get asked to play For Your Glory by Tasha Cobbs or You Are Good by Israel Houghton and more
I like the styles of Shaun Martin and Corey Henry. I grew up under gospel mainly and old school R&B. My father would often play Jazz from Najee.
