Kimiko White (Pw.) is a TEDx speaker, poet, author of Fever Memory (World Stage Press, 2023), editor, DJ, and writing child prodigy whose work commands the intersection of poetry, performance, and cultural storytelling. A Long Beach native, she has headlined the 2026 Pan-African Film Festival, serves as the 2026 Beach City Writers Conference keynote speaker, and has shared stages with William Allen Young and Courtney B. Vance. Her work is supported by the Arts Council for Long Beach and her work is included in the Los Angeles Public Library system. Through Community Literature Initiative, she mentors writers worldwide while delivering powerful, community-driven performances.

About
Kimiko White Pw. is a TEDx speaker, author, performer, and DJ whose work lives at the intersection of poetry, storytelling, and community. Known for her powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, she creates experiences that move audiences to think deeper, feel fully, and connect beyond the surface.
A Long Beach native and Tuskegee University alumna, Kimiko White Pw. is the author of Fever Memory (World Stage Press, 2023), The Long Way Home, Genius in Pieces and anthologies Poems In Praise of Libraries, Fire and Ice, and Silhouettes At Dusk. With her poetry anthology, Long Beach Spits Fire, supported by the Long Beach Arts Council and Fever Memory (World Stage Press, 2023), included in the Los Angeles Public Library system. She has performed across Los Angeles and the United States, headlined the 2026 Pan-African Film Festival, and serves as the 2026 CLI Beach City Writers Conference keynote speaker. She has also shared stages with acclaimed artists including William Allen Young and Courtney B. Vance.
Beyond performance, Kimiko serves as Executive Assistant with Community Literature Initiative (CLI), helping writers around the world write and publish books of poetry. She also teaches the Inglewood/Pillars CLI chapter, mentoring emerging voices in the literary arts. A cultural curator at heart, she is co-host and resident DJ for Griot Café at Shades of Africa and resident DJ for Sims Library of Poetry.

I do prefer that you have your own equipment, i.e. lights, mic, podium, stage but I don’t mind performing without these things.
