The band will show up early to set-up prior to the event. After set-up, there will be a brief soundcheck. This doesn't take long, as we only need to ensure that all of our equipment is functioning properly and at the appropriate volumes. Set-up and soundcheck usually takes about 45 minutes total.
Once soundcheck is finished, we are ready to begin at your convenience! You may want us to begin later in the evening or as soon as guests are arriving, depending on the nature of your event.
Once the show begins, sit back and enjoy yourself! Sing along and dance to all of your favorite hits! We are an interactive experience. Sure, we can play like any band, simply going from song to song like a lifeless jukebox, but you didn't hire a jukebox. You hired a BAND! We listen to you, entertain you, take your requests, and present a show that allows and encourages audience participation.
For shows of 2 hours or less, we can perform the entire duration with no breaks at your request. For shows longer than 2 hours, we require a 10-15 minute intermission for every hour that we perform. We will DJ during any breaks, so that the party never stops.
Once the show is over, we can immediately begin breaking down our equipment. We can be loaded up and ready to leave in about 45 minutes.
Founded in 2016, Pulp Friction may be a new name to some, but it is packed with a star line-up of veteran musicians and performers with decades of professional experience. Each member has played together in various projects over the years, forging an incredible chemistry in the process. This supergroup was formed to create a show experience and song list unlike what any other band is currently offering.
We own our own instruments, lighting, and sound equipment. All we require from you is a reasonably-sized and convenient space to set-up with at least one or two dedicated power outlets for the band.
