Erga's bio
A Life Steeped in Sound
Erga Halilaj was born in 1988 Tirana, Albania. She is the daughter of two well-known Albanian musicians. She started learning piano when she was 5 years old and completed her studies at the school of music in Tirana and then graduated in the class of Nora Cashku at the University of Art in Albania. Over the years of study and after them has been participating regularly in the season concert of ''Classic Albania'' with a wide repertoire like Mozart Sonatas, Beethoven Sonatas, Hayden Variations, Beethoven Variations, Scriabin Sonata, Debussy Preludes, Brahms- Paganini Variations, Chopin Sonata, Chopin Ballade, Gershwin Rhapsody in blue, Liszt piano concerto nr 1, Chaconne Bach and various Albanian pieces. She has conducted several concerts with the Albanian Symphonic Orchestra both domestically and abroad as a soloist where she also worked as concert maestro for 10 years. She has a wide repertoire in chamber music. Erga is also known as a pop singer by participating in many important activities. She graduated master's for three years in the institute of music of Greece in Thessaloniki. She worked for 10 years as an external Piano professor at the University of Arts in Albania. Momently she is doing her master's in piano performance at the University of South Florida at the Class of Svetozar Ivanov and formally a GA at the School.
