October 9, 2020Excellent Experience
I would hire Marc again anytime. I am a singer and needed some assistance with a family member's funeral services this morning. Marc showed up on time and ready to work. He has a good ear and can seemingly play anything. We were able to adjust some songs on the spot, and my Family was very impressed with his work today. Someone wrote on a previous review that Marc is a talented musician and also a beautiful human. I agree over and over again.

March 12, 2019Incredible pianist and human!
I decided last minute that I wanted to hire a pianist to play at my moms surprise 60th birthday party. My mom has played the piano her entire life and I figured this would be the last touch to truly make it perfect. I received many calls/quotes from GigSalad.com. Marc was unique though and I really liked his personality, sincerity, energy and laugh. I read him a list of the songs my mom likes and he knew quite a few of them. He knows a Ton of music. He even took a last minute request and learned cords for one of her favorite songs. Marc was on time day of the party and while the chaos of setting up and getting ready for my mom to come in for the surprise, Marc played softly in the background. There was a point where I received "feedback" from a guest that he could not hear well, so I asked Marc if he could play a little softer and he kindly smiled and obliged. Marc interacted well with all of the guests and allowed them to sing along and dance too. He does not have that "holier than thou" attitude that a lot of musicians have. Marc added so much life to this very special birthday for my mom. She cannot stop talking about him and we will undoubtedly hire him for a future event. Cannot recommend him enough. We got so lucky. Thank you so much, Marc... you were truly amazing.

July 4, 2021Great Piano Player
My Dad passed away last May, he loves to sing. So we thought of having someone play piano during the visitation.
I was glad I found Marc on Gig-salad. He did a great job playing the whole 3 hours.
He was at the location all set up before the visitation time and he was already playing by the time we got to the Chapel.
He communicated well. During this pandemic the visitation was originally planned outside the Chapel and has no access to electricity. He found a way to solve this problem. Last minute the visitation was moved inside the Chapel, but Marc was prepared to do anything needed to make it happen.
I highly recommend Marc! You won’t be disappointed.

What to expect
Expect me to show up on time.Dressed appropriately. To be friendly and able to take directions. Expect to hear really amazing music that is familiar but really artistic and elegant.
I take requests and can get people singing a long if that's what's needed.
Expect to want to hire me again because so many people commented on how great it was. That's what I'm going for every playing experience.
About
Yay, I'm in the Tampa Bay area where I grew up! I'm ready to play!
I play the piano, sing, and make amazing music for the very coolest people.
I knew in about a 10th of a second from the first time I played piano that it would be my thing.
Some of my piano heroes :
Vince Guaraldi creator of the Peanuts music.
Erroll Garner is known for his upbeat and musically fun jazz. He also wrote Misty!
Elton John was a huge inspiration The first pop-rock song I ever really remember playing was Elton John's -Levon--it's still one of my favorites.
I started playing professionally when I was 14 or 15 playing for functions at Salisbury State College where my father was a professor. Then I played all over the area with a Jazz quartet I formed with my friends in High School.
I love good songs. They are life changers. They are powerful. They are beautiful! They are very fine art.
I consider myself a full-on over-the-ramparts artist. And my goal is to impact people with incredible art.
A piano can play any song.
I love connecting the perfect music with the people around me and the situation.
I like to find out from the planner- whoever that might be- what exactly is needed and wanted and then tailor my performance to fit that to the Tee!
I started using "Perfect Piano Music" as a tagline after I heard from the Host or Hostess that the music is/was just "Perfect".
My concept is that music is going to elevate any activity to a new level. Life can be full of beauty. And the beauty is created by people.
The music is going to be amazingly beautiful!
I think on my feet to handle whatever comes up. The show must go on and it must be amazing!
If needed I also have an amazing keyboard and fantastic sound system to provide excellent sound.
Part of the whole production of an event can include a theme. I will find out if some specific music and or dress is required or would help to bring off a better vibe to the event and if so I will "dress the part". For instance when I do a 30 or 40s party I have worn the suspenders and pork-pie hat and arm garters if that is exactly what's needed. I look great in a tuxedo, or can dress classy and elegant or more casual but always professional.
Ok, I did play a party in my swim trunks once at the request of the Hostess (pool party!! Summer, "Industry" --turned out really fun-- people singing around the pool etc....)
I even did a wedding with an amazing bagpipe player it was pretty awesome. We did songs from movies! It was epic.
I'm digressing a bit but I want to just get the point across that I like to create whatever effect is needed and wanted and love to do this.
I'll be on time. I often show up very early just to be sure that the piano is perfect, I know the lay of the land etc...That way there is enough time to make any changes required. And because I've had experience I might recommend space layout improvements if they will help to make the event better. I will also adapt to whatever the arrangements are.
I often become so involved in my creations that I will l just play nonstop for the whole time that I am hired for. I have had many a Hostess insist I take a break to eat something. I will do that. But I'm not locked into a schedule of 45 minutes on 15 off. I am inclined to just sit and create beauty but am able to work with any schedule that works for the specific function.
The event, the product is an amazing event and that's what I'm working on.
Of Course, during times where music is not needed, I'm happy to break to create the space for whatever is planned as well.
I play music all the time-almost every day of the year and I make my living playing for people. I do it because I love to. I think that will show in my playing and attitude.
I am also a composer for TV, Film, Musicals, Songs and whatever will make anyone's life more fabulous!
Let's see if we can get this party started!
