Pretty Penny

I hired Pretty Penny to play my bro in law's 50th birthday and they slayed! Step aside boys, that chick can SING. Their cover of Sober sent chills down my spine. Great stage presence & she was so good at engaging with our guests (of all ages) so everyone felt included and had an amazing time. We felt like we were in the 90's again-& he was over the moon!!! :)

If you’re even remotely into 90s rock, RUN—don’t walk—to see this band. I caught their show in Long Beach recently and I’m still buzzing. From the first distorted chord to the last feedback-drenched encore, this band absolutely nailed it. They didn’t just play the songs—they relived them. It was like being transported straight into a sweaty Seattle dive bar in ‘92 or a packed Warped Tour lot in ‘99.

Every track hit hard: Nirvana, Soundgarden, Hole, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Alanis, STP—total banger after banger. The vocals were raw and full of grit, the guitars were crunchy and loud in the best way, and the energy on stage? Unstoppable. You could tell they loved the music just as much as we did. The whole crowd was singing, moshing, dancing, and just feeling it.

I’ve seen a lot of cover bands, but this one doesn’t just play the hits—they honor them. They brought the sound, the attitude, and the sweaty, flannel-wrapped spirit of the ’90s right to the heart of Long Beach.

Five stars, no notes. If they’re playing anywhere near you, go. You’ll leave hoarse, happy, and ready to dig out your old Doc Martens.
