Hello everyone, my name is Josie and I am from Crawfordsville IN and I have a little entrepreneurship business I call the Polka Pop Balloon Stop where I can put my God-given talents and creativity to use making other people happy!
I have loved music my entire life and I was lucky enough to begin piano lessons at the age of 4 and grow up in a family that loves to play music with me. I picked up the accordion at the age of 12 when my grandparents had no piano for me to play my piano Christmas music on. I sat on the couch with the bellows across my lap and strapped my feet to the bass with the piano end in my lap. My uncle strapped the accordion on upright to me and I went from there! I now take lessons from the amazing Betty Jo Simon.
When I was in the 7th grade my teacher said "Find something you don't know how to do, learn it, and show your skill to the class in a nonfiction presentation". Within those 3 weeks I mastered the balloon dog and a few other simple projects from a couple library books and good old "Youtube University" and made an A+ presentation. I am forever thankful I had Mrs. Taylor as a teacher! But it didn't stop there!
My uncle, Ron Lighty, is a ventriloquist and balloon artist himself and he got me motivated to learn more about balloon art.
In 2014 I got a call from Barb for a Birthday party! And my little balloon project suddenly became really fun AND profitable! Thus the creation of the Polka Pop Balloon Stop!
Since then I have done balloons and accordion music all over my town! I would be more than happy to make your day with an accordion serenade or balloon sculpture!
Cannot provide PA system, but rest assured, some indoor venues we can be loud enough if performing instrumental music only!

Balloons can be mobile or stationary. When Stationary, I would prefer to have a table or tent if the event is outside. With notice, I can provide them myself
Accordion Music: could be acoustic. If amplification is needed, 1 regular vocal microphone on an adjustable stand will do fine. If playing in an extremely large area, two mic would be better.
