Overview
Piper Isabel Anderson is a classically trained violinist turned aspiring rockstar, with a love for a wide range of styles and genres in contemporary music.
Piper has been studying music since she was ten years old and has had various types of musical training since. She spends a lot of her time playing rock, folk and jazz music.
She studies contemporary music and business at Shenandoah Conservatory, as well as working toward a minor in Music Composition.

Piper looks pretty young, but she handled her business like a true professional. She played solo violinist at my daughter's wedding and she did a wonderful job. She communicated with us before the event and was very flexible with the song selection. Our wedding had a lot of challenges because of a near by noisy event, but Piper was up for the challenge and performed beautifully. I would definitely recommend her.

Piper is a gifted violinist, and is such a delight to work with. Before even booking her, she looked into arranging two songs that I was torn between for my walk down the aisle. She was communicative, professional and flexible. When our schedule ran a little behind, she stayed behind to make sure we got all of our dances in. Besides making the whole booking, song selection and actual wedding day seamless, her musical skills are top notch. Ms Anderson performed at my daughter's wedding. She interacted with the Bride/Groom to create their dream music selections for the wedding. What to expect
She specializes in small and intimate weddings, but is more than happy to play other types of events as well. Piper is known for her excellent communication throughout the planning process of the event, and will do all she can to make sure the event goes as imagined.
About
Piper Isabel Anderson is a freelance violinist in the NOVA and DMV area, along with Winchester, VA and its surrounding towns. She arranges music as well as writes music of her own.
Piper has had private lessons with a variety of teachers growing up, gone to various orchestra summer camps, played in youth orchestras, and was consistently in the top orchestras at the middle and high school levels.
She has won a handful of awards for music, including the performing arts department medal for her participation and dedication to all performing arts disciplines (Orchestra, Choir, Band, and Theatre) at Westfield high school.
She currently studies at Shenandoah University Conservatory in Winchester, VA, as part of their Contemporary Musicianship and Entrepreneur Development (CMED) program, and is a valued member of the CONTEMPO Ensemble.
Additional booking notes
I will need to have a direct power source for amplification (using either my amp, or speakers if they're provided). This will also be required if backing tracks are needed for a particular event. If there are any specific songs or pieces in mind for me to play, please provide links or copies to the sheet music, if able. If there isn’t a way to provide the sheet music, please be flexible knowing there’s a possibility I won’t be able to play it for your event, but I will still try my best to find a way to play it.

Influences and inspiration
Her creative journey started when she was four years old. She grew up in a music filled household, where there was never a moment without music playing somewhere. This led to the very special night where she saw the German rock violinist, David Garrett, performing in his concert special on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). Amazed, she sat in front of the TV, pointed at his iconic rendition of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, and said, “Mom, I want to do that”. Since then, Piper has drawn influence from Lindsey Stirling, Alanis Morrisette, Green Day, Joe Iconis, Tom Kitt, and Jonathan Larson.
