My client had specific instructions for their event - we needed a well-rounded guitarist who would create a pleasant, welcoming ambience for a professional office's Open House while allowing for conversation. Pete fulfilled and surpassed all expectations - everyone enjoyed his music and noticed his expertise, yet they were able to socialize without the music being too loud. Pete was prompt, polite and flexible - his presence enhanced the event and we would definitely want to include him again.

About
Hi, I'm Peter Simms ~ I've been a professional musician for over 30 years. I specialize in finger-style instrumental guitar. I play Jazz, Brazilian, Classical, "Chet Atkins" style and contemporary songs. I'm from California and decided to settle in Florida with my wife in 2001. Since then I've been playing for local Entertainment Agencies at local Beach Resorts (Ex: Ritz Carlton, Longboat Key Club, Gasparilla Inn) . I studied music in California, had private instruction from Dave Smith (author of 101 jazz studies), Don Haas (pianist for Benny Goodman), Smith Dobson (pianist for Gary Burton) and Ray Brown (Stan Kenton). I've played countless Weddings, Cocktail Parties, Special Occasions, Holiday Events, Grand Openings and intimate gatherings.
Additional booking notes
I will need to know if there is an electrical outlet nearby. If not, I do have a battery powered system for beach weddings and outdoor events. A quality wired, professional handheld microphone on a stand, connected to my PA system, is also available. If needed, a small fee would be added to your fee.
