Overview

We are a high energy professional band with you in mind when we customize an entertaining experience. Sue is on lead guitar and vocals, and she works as a soloist, duo, three piece or with a four piece band depending on your needs. Our biggest influence is classic rock but we also do southern rock, country, funk, jazz, blues, and Motown. We come with professional sound and lighting equipment and will promptly be at the gig early to make sure everything is just perfect for your event or venue.

What to expect

The one unique feature about Sue and The Survivors is that we have a lead female guitar player. Sue plays lead and sings a good portion of the songs, however, all in the band sing very well. We love to entertain and to get our audience dancing and singing along with the tunes. One of the best things about Sue and The Survivors is our personal connection with our audience, we get to know our audience on a personal level and often times get repeat customers because of these connections. Another unique feature is that Sue can come as a solo acoustic guitarist, a duo with another member, or the whole band with drums and bass. If you have a special event, we may even add keyboards or horns depending on your venue. The best thing about Sue and The Survivors is that we are a variety rock band playing era songs from the 60's - 90's and a spattering of everything else in between. We are professional and show up prepared and ready to perform. We dress professionally and treat everyone with respect.

About

We have played professionally all of our adult (and teenage) lives. Our bass player, Luke, has played with a member of The Outlaws and Al Green. He opened up for the likes of Jimmy Hendrix and Janis Joplin back in the day. Our drummer, Ron, used to play for the USO and traveled the world entertaining our troops in the US and abroad. He is a talented drummer and singer. Sue has played as a soloist playing acoustic guitar or piano. She took classical piano lessons for many years but is well versed on guitar. She fronts the Survivors with lead guitar and most of the lead vocals. She enjoys entertaining and engaging the crowd with stories about the songs and helping with promotions of charity events or venues. She grew up in St. Louis and was influenced by the blues.

Additional booking notes

All that we require is access to an electrical outlet. If we are playing outside, we prefer shelter but can bring a canopy if necessary.
