What to expect
Peter Paul and Mary "Alive" performs a "family friendly" concert for adults and children. We perform for all venues from festivals, clubs, theaters, to private parties.
We begin with an exciting audiovisual overture. The show usually has two 45-minute segments with a 15-minute intermission.
This unique group has universal appeal since the time Peter, Paul and Mary first began in 1962.
"YES, WE ARE A TRIBUTE GROUP"
We, Peter Paul and Mary Alive pay tribute to the recent passing of Peter Yarrow and Mary Travers, and to the great music that Noel Stookey is still sharing.
Peter said in a popular video about Peter Paul and Mary to "Carry It On" and that is exactly what we are doing!
WE ARE SO VERY PROUD and serious about representing Peter Paul and Mary.
We all met Peter Yarrow at one of his shows. He gave us his blessing and asked us to come up on stage and perform his second act with him...what an honor!
We have over 7 MILLION HITS on YouTube and have performed concerts throughout the United States.

About
“Peter” is performed by Founder and Director, Peter Gordon. Peter is a trained vocal professional and theatrical director who recently performed at the Venetian Hotel and Resort singing Opera and light Italian favorites. He grew up in Millburn, New Jersey where in High School he was a member and leader of the Millburnairs. It was there he met Lorre Wyatt and was greatly influenced by Lorre's original songs and guitar style. It was the music of Peter Paul and Mary that caught his attention in 7th grade and within days, purchased a guitar and started teaching himself how to play, in addition to his formal training on the violin. Peter was well into song leading and playing guitar when the “folk music” craze came out from Greenwich Village. His father had a business a few blocks away from Washington Square in NYC, and as a teenager he spent many weekends learning from the masters like Pete Seeger, The Weavers, Lorre Wyatt, Phil Ochs, Tom Paxton, Dave Van Ronk, John Hammond, Judy Collins, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Peter Paul and Mary. 15 years ago, Peter was reading a book by Max Lucado entitled “Cure for the Common Life”. Max suggests that we find the sweet spot in our life, like a golfer or baseball player when they find the best place in their swing for the optimum results. Peter remembered back in High School when he loved singing the music of Peter Paul and Mary. The results, “PETER PAUL AND MARY ALIVE”!
“Mary” is sung by Joanie Brown. Joanie, although new to the professional stage, has found her calling in entertainment. Her vocals are strong and beautiful. She has the clarity and youthfulness of the early Mary Travers, and her performance will captivate you with her unique interpretation. Joanie has been singing and dancing as far back as she can remember; however, academic pursuits in engineering and then later in natural medicine and acupuncture meant that singing and performing would have to wait. Fast forward to the present; Joanie has enjoyed singing in several venues around Las Vegas. She performed in a Ribbon of Life – Golden Rainbow production show, and more recently in a showcase variety show called Unstoppable with Guinness Book of World record holder, Nino Frediani. Joanie’s progressive, yet compassionate nature resonates in the music of Peter, Paul, and Mary with their uncompromising message of freedom, justice and love. She is thrilled to be able to share the music and messages of Peter Paul and Mary and is dedicated to helping “Carry It On”!
"Paul" is performed by Will Kruger. Will shares a style that recalls many of his earliest folk music influences, among them, Peter, Paul and Mary, Simon & Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver and James Taylor in particular.
He's toured nationally, sharing his "Folk Legend's Tribute Show" at house concerts, libraries, conservation events, coffee houses, corporate functions and larger auditoriums in addition to appearances at a number of Nashville venues.
Four of his songs were featured in the films, "God Where Are You" and "Grace Of The Father." In addition, he played the part of Noel Paul Stookey in the nationally touring Las Vegas tribute group, "Peter Paul & Mary Alive," for several years, and is still part of the team when not performing as a solo artist.
Kruger, who performs regularly in East Tennessee at The Smoky Mountain Brewery, The Listening Room Cafe, Calhoun's, and The Abbey, said he's been playing music over 50 years. "Music can convey emotion on so many levels," he said. "Music does that for me. The songs that I write touch on love, relationships, and faith. If I can communicate those things with my audience and touch their hearts, then all the work that I do is well worth it. I have a saying: 'Have I ever told you how much I love music?"'
Ray studied double bass with Keith Robinson, Stuart Sankey, Steven Zlomke, and David Neubert. He started performing professionally in high school and college. He took a break after his freshman year of college to pursue degrees in math and law. During his first year as a lawyer he could not stay away any longer. He started playing again and never looked back. He happily retired from 40 years of lawyering as of 2017. Now he is fully engaged playing, learning, and teaching music. He performs in many musical genres including: symphonic, opera, ballet, chamber music, musical theater, jazz, bluegrass, Americana, and klezmer. He is a member of Four Fights Per Pint bluegrass band. He is the principal bass of the Mid-Texas Symphony since 1989. He plays regularly with Brazos Valley Symphony, Symphony of the Hills, Victoria Symphony, Corpus Christi Symphony, Temple Symphony, Waco Symphony, and others. He freelances in Austin and San Antonio. He teaches double bass and electric bass guitar.
He is very excited to join Peter, Paul and Mary Alive. He is truly a child of the 60s, and for him this music is a significant part of that period personally and culturally. It is musical comfort food!
