Overview
Aloha,
I’m Penn, a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter sharing original heartfelt and introspective original songs accompanied by acoustic guitar and harmonica. For an additional price, I’ll write an original song for any special occasion with pinpoint precision guaranteed to bring you to you tears. I offer professional songwriting guidance as well as intimate “campfire sessions” not limited by power outlets (I have a battery powered speaker that can be set up anywhere, say, the middle of the forest, a beach, a mountain, etc).
I’ll travel as far as I have to in order to bring my healing music and share my stories.
Mahalo for your time,
Penn

December 26, 2020Music to heal the soul
Penn Johnson delivers awe-inspiring medicine music to soothe the soul and induce spiritual experiences. Penn is also a pleasure to work with, a true professional who clearly approaches his work with wholehearted dedication and integrity. He is an authentic, spirit-led young man with wisdom beyond his years and a musical talent that I hope will carry him onto the national stage. The world is made better by Penn and his music.

About
Penn finds songs everywhere he looks and has a gift for capturing essences and vibrations, delivering them as poetic prose with a soothing but powerful resonance. His debut single, “Burn a Little Sage” was a semi-finalist in the worldwide 2018 Music City Star Song Competition and his healing words and experiences have touched the souls of people in all corners of the world. Penn sees his music as mantras to himself — reminders to stay connected to the earth and to walk with spirit through life. He hopes to act as an inspiration of someone who is living and thriving by simple means.
“The highlights of my career aren’t accolades or attention or playing for big crowds. It’s the dude who comes up to me at a festival campfire and says, ‘bro you inspired me to pick up my guitar and write a song for the first time in 10 years,’ or the girl who says, ‘Your CD hasn’t left my car since you gave it to me last year and I’ve listened to it 100 times and it’s been a huge part of my healing journey.’ Those moments mean everything to me because I know how healing music is for me personally and for others to experience that…it’s just the most beautiful thing I can think of.”
A Massachusetts native, Penn has been traveling the United States most of his adult life, performing alongside artists of nearly every genre, including: Trevor Hall, Mike Love, Desert Dwellers, Feral The Earthworm, The Elovaters, Bumpin’ Uglies, Daniel Waples, Sessions Americana, Justin Biltonen (3 Doors Down), and Christina Holmes. He has performed at various venues, coffeehouses, and festivals.
Additional booking notes
Unless it's a large venue, I've got a battery powered speaker and mic/stand that i can (and have) take(n) literally anywhere (forest, beach, mountain, cliff side, etc.).
