Peace of Mind

Peace of Mind Movement is a fusion of urban/funky/traditional/neo-soul/jazz gospel music that is very fresh, edgy, out of the box, current and relevant for the listener. The group consist of 4 vocalist that started out singing acappella and then later incorporated a 7 piece band. Everyone in the group has over 20 years of performing experience and almost as many years of recording experience. Our first Project debut during the summer of 2002 entitled "The Elements" with a live concert in Winston-Salem, N.C. We have traveled throughout the East Coast touring and selling our product. In the meantime while still traveling sharing our gift with the world, continuing our education, staying dedicated to our families, friends and careers we are writing preparing for our second album release which we plan to start recording sometime this winter. So look out for the next record it is going to hit your ears hard.

Peace of Mind was originated on August 1997 in the city of Winston-Salem, NC. The group consists of three individuals that love to sing for the Lord. POM's primary goal is to uplift the hearts and minds of all people in their everyday lives as well as their spiritual walk with Christ. The group members of POM are Patty Perrin, Zuwhan Gaston, and Ayona’ Reeves. Focus Peace and Reality are "The Elements" needed to obtain true Peace of Mind. POM is one of North Carolina’s best kept secrets yet they continually travel abroad to give God their very best with purpose through their music. Their sound is unique and their skilled harmonies are flawless. These young people have ministered in cities such as: Hartford, Bridgeport, and Waterbury. The group also has ministered as featured artist in SC, VA, TN and ATL. Peace of Mind has opened up for national recording artists such as: Minister Byron Cage, the group Rizen, Natalie Wilson & SOP, Patty Labelle, Chanel from Trinity 5;7, Dorinda Clark-Cole, and many other artists while working as background vocalist. In January 2013, POM took part in the Empowerment Breakfast – Revue Lounge Artists Showcase in Nashville, TN, as one of the featured artists during “Stellar” week. Peace of Mind was recently selected as one of the finalist of the 2014 Prayze Factor People’s Choice awards. We are proud to announce that they were crowned best NEO SOUL/ ACAPELLAR ARTIST OF THE YEAR!!! . Peace of Mind have just releases their new hit single “Jesus Did It” where it is now playing overseas and doing well. They are also currently working on new music; their hope is that through their music people will begin to refocus and rededicate their lives to God and allow him to reveal true inner peace so that people can once again see their greater purpose and know that their lives as peace builders will make a difference. For these young people “Peace of Mind” is not just a Lifestyle it’s a Movement. This group believes that this movement starts when we stop thinking about how far we have to go, or how hard the road has been, and just begin to let God orchestrate our lives and totally rest in him; that’s when you really start feeling the true feeling of peace. This group constantly stresses that; we are part of a movement that has been successful throughout history towards humanity's greatest goal so to them it is important to continue generating a Peace of Mind culture through music.
