Willow Branch

We are all acoustic with no electric instruments or drums and can perform with or without a sound system. A fiddle player can be provided upon request and is highly recommended if the event is a dance or if there will be dancing at the event. We perform the following:

Traditional Bluegrass
Bluegrass Gospel
Folk
Classic Country (1940's thru 1970's)
Our own original compositions
Can teach/demonstrate old-style dances, i.e. the Paul Jones & Virginia Reel, etc...

From the piedmont regions of Virginia and North Carolina, Willow Branch has been entertaining audiences with their original and traditional sounds of bluegrass since 1983. Their close relationship and love of music is evident in each performance and song.

Recipients of 33 awards from the Virginia Folk Music Association, Willow Branch has twice been honored with the VFMA's highest and most coveted award for 'Best Bluegrass Band', and have performed at countless music festivals, public venues, and private events throughout the east coast of the United States, including an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry's Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

We have no specific requirements for lighting. Our requirement for staging is that we are under an overhead cover and not on wet ground or surface. For the majority of our gigs we provide our own sound system...our only requirement is one 110v grounded receptacle to plug into.
