We enjoyed his background music during dinner and he even played a few requests for us at the end so we could sing along. A full time classical guitarist, I have a B.M. and M.M. in Classical Guitar Performance from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music in New York. As well I have a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of California San Diego. I won First Prize at the VIth International Competition for Classical Guitar (Casa d'Espana) in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was a Top Prize Winner at the Guitar Society of America Competition in Milwaukee. For special events and weddings, I perform virtuoso arrangements of music that everyone knows-this has been my constant striving to connect with music that people know and love, and combine this with a virtuosity and passion. While living in New York, my freelance career included performances at Macy's on 34th St., Tavern on the Green, and at the 5th Ave. residence of Phil Donahue and Marlo Thomas, among others. In San Diego, I performed weddings and events gigs at Balboa Park, private residences in Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club and at the Antheneum, among others. Here in western North Carolina, I have performed weddings and events in the resorts of Lake Lure, Laural Hills Country Club, and the Grove Park Inn in Asheville.
Complete with a state-of-the art sound system, Paul Bowman has everything you will need to make your wedding or event a most memorable one!!
For indoor events, access to electricity and an armless, sturdy chair. For outdoor event without electricity, I can use my battery-powered amplifier.
