Overview
I'm a singer-songwriter who does acoustic folk music - originals and covers of 60s and 70s music. If you're looking for someone similar to Joni Mitchell or Joan Baez, I'm probably your girl. If you're looking for punk or rap, I won't be a good match for you.

November 8, 2025Patty Peace is an audience engaging singer/songwriter
Patty Peace is an engaging singer songwriter. She covers songs by her folk music heroes with a folk era persona and presence Her original songs come from experiences that audiences can relate to. Her guitar work is a beautiful compliment to her voice and song message. She radiates peace and love. I have hosted Patty repeatedly at my late night showcase room at Folk Music Conferences and have seen her at other venues. She is a delight to all audiences.

November 7, 2025Patty Peace: Great Vibe - Genuine & Easy to Work With
Patty was recommended to us several years ago by a well-known folk singer in the area. Her most recent appearance here was in the autumn of 2025. As always, she had a specially developed 2 hour set list relevant to the day - in this case, it was Labor Day. Also as usual, she was punctual and flexible. Her shows are well-timed, so they don’t bleed into any later shows. She has a good rapport with our customers.
There are people who come just to hear her. They like her vocals and guitar work. Our customers like her relaxing, feel-good songs as well as her more energetic and thoughtful ones. It’s not unusual for them to get involved and sing choruses with her. She often has information about the songs and/or their subject matter, and presents this engagingly, along with her music.
We definitely want to use her again, and we’re looking forward to Valentine’s Day presentation.

Price range: $100-$400
Gig length: 30 - 240 minutes
What to expect
If you like Joan Baez, Janis Ian, or Buffy St. Marie, you’ll probably like Chicago-based Patty Peace. The music ranges from old English, Irish, and American folk, through 60's and 70's hits and "should've been" hits, to a variety of originals that focus on peace and love. Patty accompanies herself on acoustic guitar. She is occasionally joined by her husband's flute and rich baritone harmonies.
About
At any given time, she may be covering Joni Mitchell, Beatles, Rolling Stones, or Paul Simon. She may be performing an original song, drawn from decades of mental health and antiwar experiences. Or she might be sharing her version of a folk song written by Anonymous – the greatest songwriter of all. Her engaging acoustic style has been compared to Judy Collins. Inspirations are drawn from philosophy and physics as much as lamentation and love.
Additional booking notes
A chair, a little table (or something that can be used as a table) and a small stool are all I need. I'm short, so a barstool-height chair might be preferable - but it is not required. I have a small amp and a good mic, but if you have these items that would be terrific. I generally like to have half an hour before a show for sound and other details.
