Overview
Hello There! Looking to enjoy folky indie blues with a splash of sultry jazz? I am affordably at your service! An average set consists of mostly cover tunes from Ray Lamontagne to tried and true Jazz Standards ( I try to always add my own touch of personal flare) and I throw in some originals as well..some banjo here and there. I am also happy to include any specific songs you might request!

October 20, 2025Phenomenal…. Voice of an Angel!
I truly don’t know where to begin!!
Patty was a blessing to us and our family. She communicated great, thoughtful, positive and a true….brides dream!! We had several last minute changes for our elopement in Banner Elk over the weekend and she handled everything with a huge smile on her face. She is gifted both vocally and with the ability to play guitar…a natural!! A huge Thank You to Patty for assisting in making our wedding magical!

July 23, 2025Amazing talent and wonderful person!
I'm so glad we found Patty! Her voice and guitar skills are incredible. She learned 8-10 songs just for us, and put her own spin on them (and they were better than the originals!). She's also just a really nice, genuine person.

June 25, 2024Perfect!
Patty was a pleasure to work with leading up to our event. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the conference we hired her for, but I received so many messages from my colleagues telling me how amazing she was. I would 100% recommend hiring Patty for your event.

What to expect
One thing my jazz instructor from university taught me was to always read the room.
I am comfortable sailing along the back drop of the event, maintaining an intimate and personal mood or I can be more interactive and keep the atmosphere lively and enjoyable or I can straight-up flaunt what I've got and give the audience a show!

Influences and inspiration
Some modern artists I really admire include:
Andrew Bird: Multi-instrumentalist,primarily violin. With hints of swing, folk, New Orleans jazz and indie rock his style is distinct: always surprising, always heart wrenching.
Melody Gardot: jazz/blues artist with timeless vibrato and exquisite control. Her music is therapeutic.
Fleet Foxes: intensely genuine indie folk with a touch of psychedelia. (reassuring harmonies) My favorite music in an intimidating nature setting.
Ani Difranco- singer songwriter/ poet. So very inspiring and groovy. Something of a feminist icon.
The Civil Wars: Male and female Americana duo. Their harmonies are the cleanest, sharpest and sexiest I've ever heard! They have an ability to express that I aspire to greatly.
Ray Lamontagne: blues and folk singer songwriter. A big gravelly voice he knows just what to do with! His music is warm, soulful and sensitive
Artists from before my time:
Bireli Lagrene- Child prodigy in the 80's, he has a guitar picking style all his own and still holds true to the familiar and entrancing qualities of Gypsy Jazz.
Sergio Mendez: has an incredible ability to demonstrate the essence of traditional music from sooo many world cultures. Practically a musicologist.
Led Zepplin: I didn't know what rock and roll was before this band. Very raw and very honest and each member possesses some very impressive skill!
Bob Dylan: not everyone is a fan, which I can understand about the slouchy voice and not the most dexterous guitar style, but he is an impeccable story teller and a lyrical virtuoso.
The list could go on...
Setup requirements
All I ever need is a mic, a mic cable and an amp. I can usually provide them myself.
