About

Patrick Robinson

Patrick Robinson is a Pop/inspirational artist, born and raised on Chicago’s Westside. Patrick also is nephew to Blues man Lil Art Duncan singer and musician.
In his youth he had become a very outgoing child that loved people and from that came also his love for music. Somewhere in his earlier childhood he fell in love with God and the idea that he would be able to reach others. He fell in love with writing poetry in middle school which later became a platform for his creative word play ability.

Some time after the poetry turned into a multiple song expressions, which lead to the gift of composing lyrics for different styles. With grade school behind him Patrick enter various talent shows held at Charles Alan Prosser Vocational High. Then Patrick was introduced to another one of his classmates by the name of Keisha Issacs. And as time went on the developed a close knit bond unlike any other.
Patrick shortly after teamed up to form the 1st female and male rap group Trick & Kitten.

Patrick ran into a local producer on the west side of Chicago and auditioned on the spot at his uncles lounge, the producer was amazed at the diamond in the rough rap artist and took the talented young Patrick in as an exclusive arrangement to help showcase him and do to some music tracks. Patrick later made mention of his partner in rhyme and urged that they all should meet to discuss future endeavors. Getting started wasn’t an issue with the young promising group; the producer just had to clear everything with the parents of the teenage stars. Immediately they began their quest of music and rhyme.

Song after song young Patrick’s writing ability increased tremendously, composing the lyrics for over 100 % of the songs for himself and his female counter part. Some times after came the long hours of rehearsals and routines and critique. Patrick has always been his worst critic, just average was not in his vocabulary. Every show, every contest the group would make placement and their popularity grew on the “Rap” scene.

By the year 1992 Patrick and Keisha said their good- byes, Kitten was embarking on a new mission, and she was going away to college. With the trades in Patrick’s sights he pursued school locally and went to school to be a carpenter. Music still pumping through his veins he was forced to become a solo artist. So he began recording all new material and pressing towards his first love yet again, hitting the mark.
