PARAVEL is an alternative rock band with an energetic and uplifting arena rock sound from Abbotsford, BC. Formed in May of 2016, PARAVEL began as a band with a mission of being a voice for hope and change in response to the hopelessness they saw dominating the news and the everyday. From the start, they wanted to write songs that encourage, that ask bigger questions, and that bring people together. With those ideals in mind, and influenced by bands like Switchfoot, Coldplay, and U2, PARAVEL began crafting their sound; a spectrum ranging from soaring arena rock to oceanside acoustic intimations.

They also have a broad range when it comes to covers, covering a broad field of styles and artists, for whatever kind of event you're planning.
PARAVEL is an alternative pop rock band from Vancouver, BC - their sound a unique blend of the uplifting, energetic arena rock of Coldplay, The Fray, and Switchfoot, and the alternative pop sensibilities of Bastille, Ed Sheeran, & Dermot Kennedy.
The band was formed in May 2016 by frontman Patrick Jolicoeur, guitarist Matt Taylor, and drummer Kelton Kowalchuk, who all began playing together in church bands, but wanted to begin inspiring people with their own music. Today PARAVEL is comprised of 2 of those 3, with the addition of Lorenzo Enns on the drums.
In November 2017, they took home the Fraser Valley Music Award for Best Pop Artist.
