The Parkwyn Jazz Quintet is a five-member jazz quintet consisting of trumpet, sax, piano, bass and drums. We specialize in music from traditional jazz through the swing, bebop and modern jazz eras including some recent pop tunes to round out our playlist (R and B, Motown). We come prepared ready to play with our extensive playlist and sound system. If a quintet is too large for your events or outside of your budget, we also perform as a quartet (sax, piano, bass, drums), a trio (sax, piano, bass or piano, bass drums) or a duo (piano, bass). Parkwyn Jazz can play concerts, parties, receptions and other events as a primary music performer or intimate background music.

October 20, 2026Parkwyn Jazz Band went far above our expectations when they played for our wedding reception. They played for about 3 hours in total and were a class act. They played a great selection of tunes and set the mood perfectly for our group of friends and family. I highly encourage anyone looking for something different for their wedding reception to book these guys!

September 25, 2026We hired this band for our rehearsal dinner in an upscale lounge area downtown Grand Rapids. They played a great set of music, perfect ambience and very accomplished musicians. Pro all the way. Highly recommend for any size gathering we hired the upright bass and keys. They played a set of jazz standards. Our guests were very complementary of the music. And the bride and groom were surprised and delighted.

August 24, 2026Parkwyn Jazz played for my father's Celebration of Life Memorial service.
They enhanced the experience for our event, sounded amazing, and were very professional. Bob had great communication, and cared about meeting our requests for the event.
