Paride Pignotti is an Italian guitarist and composer based in San Francisco.
His music is defined by a distinctive melodic voice rooted in Mediterranean musical traditions, shaped by contemporary improvisation and cinematic sound worlds influenced by modern jazz aesthetics.

He has performed internationally across Europe, the United States, and Africa, appearing at major festivals and venues such as Rome Jazz Festival, Healdsburg Jazz Festival, Auditorium Parco della Musica, and Time in Jazz.
His performance experience also includes large-scale productions and arena shows in the United States, with appearances at venues such as Hard Rock Live Sacramento, the Grand Theater at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Oklahoma, Pechanga Arena (San Diego), Yamaava Theater (Los Angeles), and the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts.
He has also taken part in international touring productions across contemporary pop and crossover music scenes, collaborating with artists including Erik Santos, Jona, Vice Ganda, Christian Bautista, Stell Ajero, and David Pabón.

In 2020, he was awarded a full scholarship to the Berklee Global Jazz Institute in Boston, selected among a group of 20 international students under the guidance of UNESCO Artist for Peace and Grammy-winning pianist Danilo Pérez. At Berklee College of Music, he studied with leading figures such as Joe Lovano and John Patitucci, performing in various ensembles and working as an accompanist for the Berklee Voice Department.
In 2022, he graduated with honors from the Berklee Global Jazz Master’s Program with his thesis Traveler’s Symphony: Bridging Musical Worlds in Search of a New Personal Aesthetic.
He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree with honors in Jazz Performance from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome and the Conservatorio G. B. Pergolesi in Italy.

As a recording artist, he has released four albums as a leader: 43 Parallelo (2018), Acquamarina (2020), Roots (2024), and Way Back Home (2024). These works explore acoustic and electric guitar languages across solo and ensemble formats, in collaboration with musicians from the European and international jazz scenes.
As a sideman, he has contributed to recordings for artists such as Federica Lipuma (Inner Circle Records, produced by Greg Osby), Suwon Yim (When It Falls, Dear Starfish), and Manuela Ciunna (Nzuccarata), working across contemporary jazz and cross-genre projects.

He has received several awards and recognitions, including the Progetto Air residency in Dakar (Italian Jazz Musicians Association), the “Oltreconfine” program by MIDJ – Musicisti Italiani di Jazz, the JazzIt Abroad initiative supported by SIAE – the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers, the Takamine “Go Play Outside” Competition (USA), the Giacomo Nicolai Scholarship, and recognition as Best Student at the Nuoro Jazz Masterclass. He has also been a finalist in major Italian jazz competitions such as the Massimo Urbani, Chicco Bettinardi, and Vittoria Jazz Contests.
