About

Early exposure to jazz through educational programs (b.1979 SF, CA) allowed Luke to participate in the Monterey Jazz Festival, and the Grammy in the Schools programs as part of the San Francisco Jazz Festival. In pursuit of his musical vision, he has also studied privately on guitar, piano with some of the most respected pedagogues in the field of modern music.

William A. Mathieu – author of The Harmonic Experience, Inner Traditions and Bridge of Waves, Shambhala.

Dušan Bogdanovic – taught Classical guitar at USC, SF Conservatory and currently teaches at the Geneva Conservatory in Switzerland.

Kevin R. Gallagher – studied with Sharon Isbin at Julliard, won the Francisco Tárrega Guitar Competition (1997).

As well as studying classical guitar and composition Luke is also a first call Jazz guitar player in the thriving San Francisco club scene.

In late 2009 Luke moved to Brooklyn, NY. Back east he balanced his ambitions of live performance with other professional duties in the field of music working as a professional sheet music transcriptionist and also scoring a series of short videos for the Wall Street Journal.

Luke moved back to the SF Bay Area in 2014 and has since been teaching and performing both as a soloist and in groups.
