Steve has a long history of involvement in sports and the business of sports. Recently retired from a full-time role in corporate America he is now dedicated to helping small business succeed in the sport business.

As Director of Sales and Marketing for AAI /Spalding, Steve helped lead worldwide sales of gymnastics, cheer, and physical education products. With over 40 years of experience in sales, marketing, customer relations, leadership, and team building, Cook was part of the management team at American Athletic Inc., the leading manufacturer of basketball, volleyball, gymnastics equipment and mats.

Stephen Cook has been actively involved in gymnastics as a gymnast, coach, business owner, salesman, and sales manager. He has served as either an employee or consultant for a variety of companies and organizations including, AAI, ATEC, USA Gymnastics, and USA Baseball. He enjoys competition, challenges, and situational thinking.

As a successful public speaker Cook combines motivation, inspiration, and entertainment and has been responsible for running national, regional, and local trade shows, sales conferences, and business seminars.

In this the “give back” stage of his career Steve is co-owner and developer of Paradigm Playbook, an education-based business to teach business essentials to entrepreneurs and business owners. Steve says, “with over 40 years of business experience in the private sector and giving thanks to all those who have served as mentors for me, it’s time to pay it forward. I want to help entrepreneurs not only survive, but thrive in service to the sport that they love.”

Steve has been married for over 40 years to Dorothy and is a proud father of Daniel and Theresa and Grandfather to Katie and Amelia. Those five are often referred to in Steve’s talks as his advisory team. They offer sound advice and definitely keep him grounded.

Along with his family Steve owns Grand Slam USA in Malvern PA, a family sports and entertainment facility. Grand Slam promotes the sports of Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, and Volleyball and provides training facilities for many local youth organizations.
