Overview

Papa Doo is a legendary California Beach band and has been performing continuously for over 50 years! They cover all the hits of the 60's & 70's with a special emphasis on their award winning re-creation of the hits of the Beach Boys and Jan & Dean {with both of whom they toured and recorded throughout their career). What sets PDRR apart from other Beach Boys tribute or cover bands is their quality and credibility, and that they have released 10 albums (CD's) and over a dozen singles, and have earned 2 gold records and a Grammy nomination. PAPA currently has 3 songs in regular rotation on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. PAPA performs all over the world, and averages from 60-70 gigs a year.

About

A client of ours once said that "...we're not selling music - we're selling happiness!" She hit the nail right on the head. Our act, which we've been doing for over 4 decades, features memory jogging music - all the hits from the 60's, and 70's, and even a few tunes from the 80's, but with a special emphasis on the hits of the Beach Boys. We never fail to get the entire audience out of their seats, dancing and singing along at the top of their lungs.

All of the guys in Papa Doo Run Run have performed with the Beach Boys and/or Jan & Dean throughout their career. That's not just "opening for", or "sharing the stage with", like a lot of other bands claim, but actually IN THE BEACH BOYS AND JAN & DEAN'S BANDS. In fact, one of our guys was the falsetto voice of the Beach Boys for 20 years. We also don't change players very often. The average time for anyone to be in our band is 24 years! We're rock solid and really tight.

There's a good reason why if you Google, Bing, or Yahoo, "beach party band", Papa Doo will come up first or second, after the paid ads. Nobody does it better! You'll be a hero to your audience when you hire Papa Doo Run Run. FYI - the band has performed everywhere from England to Australia, and travels (link hidden) the world. We're not restricted to California or just the U.S.
