Omi Mahina is able to tailor our performance to your unique theme and needs. We can improv to your live music, create a set that incorporates your theme, choreograph up a theatrical set that tells a story to compliment your event or guest of honor. We are well versed in the typical belly dance performances that include engaging, fun family friendly entertainment. We can also add our own unique spin that includes basic partner stunts and contortion. Adding a live drummer creates a powerful and magical performance that you and your guests will not forget.
Omi Mahina offers more than the typical belly dance show. This dazzling duet cross trains in acro-stunts and contortion. While we love adding the usual belly dance props of veils or swords, we will take your show over the edge and add contortion, partner stunts, an acrobatic Apparatus or a live professional drummer. Our private shows are suitable for corporate events, wineries, trade shows and community events.
Omi Mahina’s award winning tribal fusion style combines belly dance, hip-hop, ballet, jazz, flamenco and hula into a lovely, powerful yet graceful dance fusion style. Co-directed by original founders Talia and Malolo, we enjoy putting our years of dance and movement study and passion for music and movement into each class and performance. Omi Mahina works to teach classes and provide performances in a way that are empowering and positive for students and audience members. Omi Mahina is lucky to be able to participate in a monthly show with a local improv comedy troupe called Belly Laughs with Blacktop Comedy.
What is tribal fusion dance? Tribal fusion is an Americanized style of dance that incorporates elements of belly dance and tribal dance (specifically elements of American Tribal Style or ATS, Bollywood, Bhangra) with styles of dance that are more traditionally considered American including ballet, hip hop and jazz. While Omi Mahina didn’t create tribal fusion we have put our own fun spin on it by incorporating elements from our dance training including hula and hip hop. We hope you will join us to see what it’s all about!

A space that is safe for dancing needs to be provided, but we are willing to work with promoters and hosts for unusual circumstances/venues.
