May 9, 2022Olivia was so wonderful to work with! From finding her on wedding wire and sending my inquiry, she very quickly responded with availability and was so reliable! She responded to every email in less than a day from start to finish. This particularly stood out to me as many vendors I encountered were slow/non responsive. She arrived on time to the ceremony with her own supplies (small extra cost included in my total) and executed it all perfectly. She had to extend the processional song (I think??) due so slow grandparents walking but it was smooth and flawless. She played for a total of about 50 minutes. 30 minutes leading up to the ceremony, about 10 minutes of the ceremony, and 10 minutes afterwards. I would highly recommend Olivia for all of your event or wedding needs!

October 30, 2019Olivia was a delight to work with from our initial conversations planning our songs to her performance on the day of our wedding. She learned several new songs for our big day and they sounded absolutely beautiful. Due to heavy rain on the day of we had to implement a rain plan and change the ceremony location. Olivia was really relaxed and open to working with us to try and make everything come together. Would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful piano music for any event.

Olivia Jones graduated from Samford University in May 2019 with a bachelors in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. She began piano lessons at the age of seven with private teacher Connie Schweigert. Since then, she has studied with Dr. Ronald Shinn, Dr. Anthony Patton, and Dr. Jovanni Rey de Pedro. During her time at Samford, Olivia has received an honorable mention in the AMTA Collegiate Scholarship piano and concerto competitions and placed in the 2016 and 2017 Fletcher and Nell Morris Scholarship Piano Competition at Samford. She won the 2018 Alabama Federation of Music Club Competition and placed 2 nd in the 2018 Birmingham Music Club Piano Competition. In February 2019 she performed with the Samford Orchestra as a winner of the 2019 Samford Concerto-Aria Competition. Additionally, she served as a Samford Arts Ambassador and was a member on the executive board for Delta Omicron Omicron Gamma, a professional music fraternity. Delta Omicron invited Olivia as one of only four collegiate performers to play at the international 2018 Triennial Conference in Orlando, Florida.
Olivia has been teaching piano since 2015. She is continually devoted to professional development and attending teachers conferences and numerous pedagogy classes. She is an active member of Music Teachers National Association and AMTA. She recently traveled with the Samford MTNA collegiate chapter to present at the 2019 MTNA national conference in Spokane, Washington.
