My name is October BLU, Blu is an acronym for (Breathing Life into the Universe). Born and rasied in South Central. I have been writing for over 19 years. I am a published author under The World Stage Press. I have recently been featured on KPCC: In Person Unheard LA , and the Los Angeles Pan African Film Festival. I continue to hit the stages of various open mics throughout California. I would describe my writing style as emotionally driving. I do not take this gift lightly and truly believe that in the space where words are shared can breathe life or suffocate existence I chose life.
