What to Expect
Oceana Drive Trio is a fun but musically serious acoustic band. When you listen to us, you'll hear authentic, raw emotion from voice and instrument. We play and sing music that grips your heart and soothes your soul. One of the unique aspects of Oceana Drive Trio is the instrumental combo; Steel guitar and acoustic 6-string guitar, mandolin and upright bass provide a pure, clean foundation for powerful vocal delivery. We're the real deal.
Just who is in this band?
Ruthie Eilers is a force of nature when it comes to making music, having honed her skills as a session musician in Nashville. She is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, fiddle and flute in addition to what is mentioned above. Through her performances, business activities and teaching, she has become a focal point for the musical life of Oceana County and the surrounding area. Her performances possess an intensity that is, to say the least, inspiring.
Andy Henley recently graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a degree in jazz bass performance. That alone could say it all, but beyond such a valuable education he is a natural musician, shining both as an accompanist and as a stunning soloist. This man was born a bass player.
Frank Galante has been singing and playing guitar practically all his life (which means for more decades than he cares to admit). He started his musical journey as a regular player at many of the most happening clubs in New York City and has since performed everywhere from the Great Lakes to the Caribbean, to Amsterdam. When not playing the blues or jazzing out, he performs on classical guitar, lute and Baroque guitar, having studied with some of the world’s most noted performers and teachers. To quote him: "Music is my reason for being".
