Overview
NYC Event Music provides live music in solo, duo or trio format for weddings and other events in New York City and the tristate area. Ideal for many “background music” settings, we perform classical guitar, jazz standards and/or instrumental renditions of popular songs at whatever volume and mood is appropriate.
Lead by acclaimed guitarist, composer and educator Colin Cannon. Colin is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music and holds bachelors and masters degrees of music. Based in NYC, Cannon performs at jazz venues including the Blue Note Jazz Club; and His 2021 release was ranked in the top ten jazz albums of year.

For my 42nd birthday I wanted to think outside the box and do something different! I wanted to do something for me only and so i hired him just to play music for me alone, to actually listen and enjoy the beautiful sounds of Jazz music while I relaxed on a hammock with a beautiful city view was an amazing experience for me! Colin Cannon is a critically acclaimed guitarist, composer and teacher. Based in NYC, Colin performs in NYC's most prestigious jazz venues including the Blue Note Jazz Club. His most recent album was ranked in the top ten jazz albums of 2021. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Colin holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music.
Additional booking notes
No major technical assistance is needed. Colin will provide his own amplifier that should be loud enough for most events.
