November 6, 2018We first heard November Sound playing outdoors at Heartstone winery in Columbia and were impressed with their music selection and vocals. We hired them for an outdoor party, and they were perfect for the occasion. They were able to set up outdoors on our patio and still leave plenty of space for guests. Their play list included several pieces that they composed. Their music created great ambience for the gathering, without being too loud for conversation. Plus, they were fun to watch. The keyboard was set up so the melody was played with right hand, and the bass line (actually sounded like an acoustic base) with the left hand.

September 25, 2018On Thursday, September 20, 2018 Hockanum Valley Community Council held their event, "The Best of Both, a Food and Drink Experience". It was a magical evening under the stars at CNC Software in Tolland, CT and a highlight was the beautiful music supplied to us by Melissa Rood's November Love group. Their music is amazing! Each song was better than the one before it. We look forward to having them perform next year on Friday, September 13, 2019. Come and see a great performance!

November Sound features powerful and unique lead vocals with creative drum and keyboard driven musical arrangements. NS creates alternative music with intricate rhythms and a modern sophisticated sound. Although influenced by groups such as Coldplay, The Fray, Twenty One Pilots and The Script the unique stylings of November Sound have been described as resembling Massive Attack, Portishead, the Cranberries and other cool alternative music.
Melissa ( voice, ukulele & guitar) and Bill ( keys, songwriter & producer) are both graduates of the Hartt School of Music, have decades of teaching and performing experience and both have a true passion for improving Connecticut's music scene. Lifelong residents of the Columbia area, Melissa graduated from Parish Hill and Bill from Windham High. Their son, Will (drums & percussion) , grew up as part of the Hartt School Community Division's Connecticut Children's Choir ( 12 years CCC ), has toured Ireland with the Connecticut Men's Choir, is a graduate of E.O. Smith, completed a DCI tour in 2018, is majoring in computer science at ECSU and plays snare drum in the UCONN Marching Band. Go Huskies!
