The Northwest Panman (Terry Baber) is a nationally recognized trop-rock instrumentalist who has been taking the Northwest by storm since arriving in 2008 from Florida. He continues to perform nationally but loves just being in the Northwest. He plays a wide range of events. Weddings, corporate events, fairs, festivals, house parties, retirement communities and much more. Distance is not an issue if you want him there. For over seven Terry was the house pannist at Beaches PDX airport location. So, look no further if you want a Northwest Caribbean Adventure. April 3, 2024Northwest Panman was excellent. He arrived early, set up and was ready to go quickly. We had a Grand Opening for two $5M new construction estates. We had the music set up by one pool in the back yard and you could hear it from both yards and on the street as well...it was the perfect style to set the mood and brought the spaces to life, gave it an energy. If I have the opportunity to have him play again at an event I will!

Terry Baber has been working in the corporate environment for over 30 years and is both a talented musician and band leader. He has toured worldwide as a trombonist playing reggae, blues and many other styles of music. He also is the owner of Brokenslide Music, a site geared towards providing quality music to musical groups. But his lifelong passion was to play steel pans which came to reality in 2004. The spirit of the Jumbie (as they say in Trinidad) grabbed a hold of him and there has been no turning back. Terry has played steel pan in bands and as a soloist all over the country and plays steel pan full time in the Pacific Northwest which is no easy feat!
Terry can play in a wide variety of venues such as wineries, weddings, corporate parties, picnics. house parties, festivals, fairs, clubs, and has been the entertainer used at Beaches PDX airport restaurant for the last 2 years.
Terry is very easy to work with, and very reliable. He will be there in plenty of time for your event! He always goes the extra mile for his clients.
I provide my own Pa and need access to 1 power outlet. However, my PA can also be powered by batteries so don't let power requirements discourage you.
