With a sultry saxophone tone and a voice that moves the soul, Nneoma Lanea stands at the forefront of Kansas City’s vibrant music scene. A premier saxophonist, vocalist, and songwriter, she has masterfully carved her lane blending smooth jazz, R&B, and soulful melodies into unforgettable performances.

A proud attendant of the African Centered Education Collegium Campus (ACECC), Nneoma showcased her leadership early on, serving as the saxophone section leader. She then went on to elevate her artistry at Virginia State University, performing with the iconic Trojan Explosion Band.

Her talent and stage presence have earned her nominations for the Kansas City People’s Choice Awards in both 2024 and 2025, and she has graced stages alongside legends, opening for Eric Benét, Jon B, Stokley, and Tink. From weddings and private celebrations to performing at every historic venue on 18th & Vine, Nneoma’s music creates timeless moments wherever she plays.

As the house saxophonist for Sherri’s Executive Lounge, she delivers captivating sets that keep audiences coming back for more.

On June 19th, Nneoma Lanea released her debut saxophone album, Sax in the Elevator, promising a fresh, vibrant soundtrack for every mood and moment.
