I booked Ngai to photograph our annual holiday party which directly benefits charity. We confirmed over a month out and discussed the details, costs, and photography style. The week of the event, I contacted him to confirm his arrival time and he text me the following:
“Hello I know this is late but I’m not able to do the photo and video on Friday because of a wedding I’m shooting.“
It was clear he booked another event after booking ours, leaving us to find a replacement the week of the event. Additionally, had I not reached out to him to confirm, we wouldn’t have had any photographer cover our event. He just wouldn’t have showed.
While I was excited by his portfolio and immediate acceptance of our job, I would not recommend him for your event. He’s simple not professional or reliable and could leave you hanging as he did us.
