Overview

Hi! I’m Suzzie, the photographer behind Captured by Campfield. I’m based in the Mckinney/Princeton area and photograph events, celebrations, families, and everyday milestones. I love candid photography because some of my favorite photos are the ones people didn’t even realize I was taking. I also make sure to get the posed photos you want ... everyone looking at the camera, family groups, details, and the must-have shots.

My approach is pretty simple: I want you to enjoy what’s happening instead of feeling like you’re at a photoshoot the entire time. I’ll capture the people, details, reactions, and little moments throughout your event so you have the photos to look back on afterward.

What to expect

When you hire Captured by Campfield, you can expect a relaxed and flexible approach to photography. I want you and your guests to enjoy the event without feeling like there’s a camera in your face the entire time.

Throughout your event, I’ll focus on a mix of candid moments, important details, and posed photos. I’ll capture the smiles and reactions happening naturally while also making sure we get the group photos, family combinations, and must-have shots that are important to you.

Before your event, we’ll discuss what you’re looking for, the moments that matter most, and any specific photos you want captured. During the event, I’ll provide direction when it’s helpful, but I’m also comfortable stepping back and documenting things as they happen.

I’m patient and adaptable, especially when working with children. Not every child wants to sit, smile, or pose on cue, and that doesn’t mean we can’t get great photos. I’m comfortable adjusting my approach, giving them time, and capturing them in ways that feel more natural.

Most importantly, you can expect me to come prepared, communicate with you, and genuinely care about capturing your event well.

About

Hi! I’m Suzzie, the photographer behind Captured by Campfield. I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was about 14 or 15, but for most of that time, photography was simply something I enjoyed. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to take something I’ve loved for years and begin building it into a business.

I’m based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and photograph events, celebrations, families, portraits, and everyday milestones. My style is a mix of candid and posed photography. I love capturing the moments that happen naturally; the laughs, reactions, little details, and interactions but I also make sure we get the traditional and group photos that matter.

Outside of photography, I have 9 years of professional experience working with children, including children on the autism spectrum and individuals with developmental disabilities. That experience has taught me to be patient, flexible, and comfortable meeting people where they are. I understand that sitting still, looking at the camera, tolerating a new environment, or following traditional posing directions may not work for every person and that’s okay. I’m happy to adjust the pace and approach to help make the experience more comfortable.

Captured by Campfield is still growing. Photography may not be new to me, but capturing moments for others to enjoy is. I’m excited to take something I’ve loved for years and use it to give others memories they can look back on and enjoy for years to come.

Additional booking notes

Captured by Campfield is primarily self-contained, so there are minimal technical requirements for most events. I provide my own professional camera equipment, lenses, lighting equipment when needed, and backup gear.

For indoor events, access to standard electrical outlets may be helpful if additional lighting is needed. I also ask that any venue-specific photography restrictions, lighting limitations, or rules regarding flash photography be communicated prior to the event.

For larger events, having access to the event timeline or run of show in advance is helpful so I can plan for important moments and be in the right place at the right time.

If there are specific photography needs or unusual venue conditions, we can discuss those prior to the event.

Setup requirements

No stage or special setup is typically required. I provide my own cameras, lenses, lighting, and photography equipment. I just need reasonable access to the event space and permission to photograph throughout the areas being covered. Access to a standard
