12/10 stars

I hired the guys with Night Hog for my parents’ retirement party, and they were amazing. They were professional and polite in communication, and arrived on time for the event to set up. They came with everything they needed, and played music that was not only appropriate for our crowd, but kept the party going. They have a wide range of music and really played to what our crowd was enjoying. I want to have another party just so I can hire them again!

About

Night Hog is a Baton Rouge, Louisiana live music trio known for delivering an energetic, crowd-friendly mix of classic rock, Southern rock, blues, funk, soul, country, and singalong favorites. Built around experienced musicianship, strong vocals, and a diverse song catalog, Night Hog has become a favorite at bars, restaurants, festivals, private parties, corporate events, community celebrations, and special occasions throughout Louisiana and the Gulf South.

Featuring Jordan Tupper on bass and vocals, alongside veteran Louisiana musicians on guitar and drums, Night Hog was formed with a simple goal: play great songs, play them well, and create an atmosphere where people can relax, have fun, dance, sing along, and enjoy a memorable night out. Rather than focusing on gimmicks or elaborate production, the band relies on tight musicianship, audience interaction, and a deep repertoire of songs that connect with listeners across generations.

Night Hog's setlists pull from decades of popular music and are carefully crafted to fit a wide variety of venues and audiences. Whether performing classic rock staples from Tom Petty, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, soulful favorites from Stevie Wonder and Otis Redding, blues standards, country classics, or modern crowd-pleasers, the band's goal remains the same: keep the audience engaged and the music flowing all night long.

The band performs regularly throughout South Louisiana and has developed a reputation for consistency, professionalism, and reliability. Venue owners appreciate Night Hog's ability to read a room and adapt to the audience. Event planners value the band's clear communication, punctuality, professional sound equipment, and commitment to making every event successful. Guests appreciate hearing songs they know and love performed by musicians who genuinely enjoy being on stage together.

Night Hog is equally comfortable serving as the centerpiece of a lively festival, providing entertainment for a packed restaurant or bar, creating a fun atmosphere for a neighborhood celebration, or helping make a private event unforgettable. The band's flexibility allows them to tailor performances to fit the needs of each venue and occasion. Some events call for a high-energy dance party atmosphere, while others benefit from a more relaxed musical backdrop. Night Hog has the experience to deliver both.

In addition to public performances, Night Hog is available for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate functions, holiday parties, fundraisers, crawfish boils, outdoor festivals, community events, and private celebrations. The band's extensive repertoire allows organizers to customize the musical experience for their guests, whether the goal is dancing, listening, socializing, or a combination of all three.

Bassist and vocalist Jordan Tupper brings more than two decades of performance and educational experience to the group. A respected musician and educator, he has performed throughout the region in a variety of musical settings ranging from jazz ensembles and worship teams to rock bands and private events. His broad musical background helps shape Night Hog's diverse repertoire and audience-focused approach. Jordan is also a 2024 Grammy Music Educator Award Quarterfinalist and an active member of the Baton Rouge music community.

What ultimately sets Night Hog apart is not simply the song list or the musicians' experience, but the band's commitment to creating a positive experience for audiences and event organizers alike. Night Hog understands that live music is about more than just playing songs. It is about creating moments, bringing people together, and helping make an event memorable long after the final song ends.

Whether you're planning a festival, corporate gathering, wedding reception, community event, restaurant entertainment schedule, private party, or neighborhood celebration, Night Hog delivers professional live music with the energy, versatility, and experience needed to make your event a success.

Based in Baton Rouge and available throughout Louisiana and the Gulf South, Night Hog looks forward to helping bring great live music to your next event.

Influences and inspiration

Night Hog draws inspiration from some of the most enduring artists in rock, blues, soul, country, and Southern rock. Influences include Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers Band, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and The Black Crowes. The band's groove-oriented approach is also shaped by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, and other classic soul and funk performers. While Night Hog doesn't try to imitate any one artist, the band combines elements of classic American rock, blues, funk, and soul to create a sound that feels familiar, energetic, and authentic. The result is a broad repertoire that appeals to audiences of all ages and works equally well in bars, restaurants, festivals, private events, and community celebrations.
