I believe the days of repertoire-focused performers have passed us by—in an age where anyone has access to hear Claire de Lune and Moon River within ten seconds of pulling out their smartphone, the value of live performance is in providing something fresh and novel. In keeping with this mindset, I have a personal philosophy of centering my performances around improvised compositions. I liken my music to late Romantics and early Impressionists like Ravel, Debussy, and Fauré, with an occasional tinge of jazz.

I am adept at understanding the room and what the mood calls for. I am also purposeful and intentional with pulling and pushing the mood of my performances to create variety and meet the needs of the audience. My aim isn't to be the focus of the room, it's to draw out and complement the energy the room already has.

I am a classically-trained composer and multi-instrumentalist who specializes in mood-setting piano improvisations. I hold a degree in music from the University of Arizona (BA Music '10) and a certificate in Film Scoring from UCLA Extension.

I am also an arranger, having produce and recorded two albums of orchestral arrangements with my orchestra, Metamorphestra. The recordings from these albums have gotten considerable attention and admiration from publications and websites such as Rolling Stone, New York Daily News, NME, Uproxx, and Buzzfeed.

I only need a piano and a bench.
