Nick was great at our wedding! He performed acoustic songs for our cocktail hour and then DJ'd the reception.

March 7, 2026Wonderful music and super fun DJ
We had a great experience with Nick and his team at our Estes Park wedding. They even took the time to learn two new songs for our ceremony, and were super accommodating when we asked for one of our friends to be able to sing while they played the music when I walked down the aisle. They did such a great job! Are cocktail our was very suddenly moved inside when there was a big rain storm, and they did a great job rolling with the punches. They were also our DJ that night and did a great job keeping the dance floor moving, all of our friends told us that it was one of the most danced at weddings they’ve ever been at!

January 16, 2026The music was the hit of our 40th Anniversary party!
Nick Critchlow played for two hours at my husband and my 40th wedding anniversary party. EVERYONE present loved the music and we had people from age 18 months (who danced to the beat) thru 80+ years (who also danced!). Nick went out of his way to come up with a version of our first dance song and we danced to it just like we had 40 years ago.
Nick plays mostly his own songs, which are wonderful, with some covers thrown in. Thomas Viney, a violinist, also plays with Nick on some gigs. He was at our party, also, and the two of them sound great together and complement each other. Nick tells humorous stories about some of the songs he has written which enhance the experience. I would not hesitate to hire Nick (or Nick and Thomas) again. They made our party special and I will never forget it. The two hours went way too fast and my only regret was not hiring him to play longer!

September 18, 2025Perfect for your event!
Nick provided music for a client event of about 150 people. He played a variety of music, wasn't too loud and everyone enjoyed listening. I would highly recommend Nick and definitely will have him at another event.

What to expect
If an audience came to see me, they can expect to see a duo (acoustic guitar/singer and violin). The songs would be a mix of original tunes, covers, and mashups. Listeners would hear covers from the 70's through the early 2000's. The style would be a mix of blues, folk, and rock. They would hear a lot of stories and jokes between songs.
About
Nick Critchlow is a singer/songwriter from Fort Collins, Colorado. He has been a local NoCo musician for over a decade, playing his original acoustic tunes up-and-down the front range. Critchlow enjoys tongue-in-cheek lyrics and telling humorous stories in between songs. His biggest musical influences are The Lumineers, John Mayer, The Avett Brothers, and Jack Johnson. Depending on the size and needs of the venue, Critchlow plays solo, as a duo, or trio.
Thomas Viney is a seasoned violinist who has played in various orchestras and music groups for the past 15 years. He specializes in creating rich melodies and harmonies and catchy fiddle licks. Viney also provides backup vocals.
