Nic Lefebvre received his Bachelors degree in Music Composition, Jazz Studies, and Music Industries at Loyola University New Orleans, and he also was the President of the Jazz Club for 3 years.

July 30, 2018We hired Nic and Danielle to perform or our wedding ceremony and reception. Unfortunately, Nic had a family emergency and was unable to perform, but communicated this to us and sent a substitute guitar player/vocalist who was great. They played the three songs we requested beautifully and even indulged our guests in a little 90s music singalong. They were professionals, talented musicians, and our guests raved about them. I'd definitely book again for another event.

Nic Lefebvre has been immersing himself in music since the age of 7 when he began studying classical piano. He was passionate from the start, and intrigue turned to obsession when he received an electric bass for his tenth birthday. Throughout middle and high school, Nic participated in the concert bands, playing trombone and tuba, and the big bands and jazz combos, playing electric and upright bass.
He has taken every opportunity to enhance his musical skills, including participating in big bands and jazz combos around where he grew up on the shoreline of Connecticut, attending New Haven's Educational Center for the Arts, and attending camps such as the Berklee summer program and Victor Wooten's Bass/Nature camp, where he studied with Victor Wooten, Chuck Rainy, Steve Bailey, Anthony Wellington and more.
Nic Lefebvre currently attends Loyola University in New Orleans, where he is majoring in Composition and Jazz Studies. He is the president of the Jazz Club at Loyola, a position that has given him the opportunity to study with and play with such renowned musicians as Walter Smith III, Miguel Zenon, Donny Mcaslin, and others.
Outside of school, Nic is involved with a number of musical projects ranging from Gypsy Jazz to Rock. His New Orleans Jazz inspired Acoustic/Singer Songwriter group, Nyce! can be heard at such venues as Cafe Istanbul and House of Blues Voodoo Garden. His freelance work has him playing around the Greater New Orleans area.
