New Yacht City

THE SHOW
Eight musicians on stage: lead and harmony vocals, guitars, keys, bass, drums and a live three-piece horn section. The horns are what set us apart. Those big brass lines on “Peg,” “September” and “Rosanna” are played live, not on a backing track.
A typical night opens smooth and easy while guests arrive and mingle: “What a Fool Believes,” “Reelin’ in the Years,” “How Long,” “Biggest Part of Me.” As the evening builds we move into the songs everyone knows and sings along to — “Africa,” “Brandy,” “Takin’ It to the Streets,” “Lido Shuffle,” “Ride Like the Wind” — and close with a dance set that packs the floor: “September,” “Rock With You,” “You Make My Dreams,” “Higher Love,” “Let’s Dance,” “Valerie.”

WHERE WE PLAY
Corporate events and customer appreciation nights, holiday parties, milestone birthdays, country and yacht clubs, town summer concert series, theaters and cruises, across New Jersey, New York City, Westchester, Long Island, Connecticut and the Philadelphia area. Recent stages include Brookfield Place in Manhattan and Princeton University Reunions, plus sold-out theater and boat-cruise shows.
Yacht rock is the rare music that works for every generation in the room. The 60-year-olds know every word, and the 30-year-olds love it just as much. Tell us about your event and we’ll build the night around it.

New Yacht City is an elite eight-piece group dedicated to the hi-fi grooves and sophisticated soul of the yacht rock era. Combining meticulous musicianship with an infectious, high-energy stage presence, they deliver a sun-drenched voyage through the smoothest hits of the late '70s and early '80s. Expect a world-class tribute to "the West Coast sound" that feels as fresh and vibrant as a breeze off the harbor.
