I make learning how to de-clutter and organize your space fun! The goal of organizing is to make your life easier and more serene.
Topics can range from the Basics of Organizing, to Closets, Garages, Kitchens, Paperwork, Mail Stations, Children's Spaces, and creating Maintenance Systems.

If requested, I can also speak on the spiritual and emotional effects of clutter, and how cleaning your space can also clean your heart and mind.

About

Hi, I’m Heather. I grew up fighting clutter. You see, my parents were hoarders. I love my parents, they are gracious people. While growing up in their home I always wanted order. My bedroom was my sanctuary, and I enjoyed keeping it organized.
Gaining a Bachelor of Music degree increased my desire for artistic order and beauty. It also meant I spent a lot of time performing and becoming used to speaking to groups.
After marriage, I was a stay at home Mom for 17 years, I became familiar with the challenges and frustrations faced by stay at home mothers. After that I worked as a retail merchandiser for 7 years. During this time, I discovered the challenges and time crunches faced by working women and mothers.
During my motherhood years, I became an ordained minister, and started a non-profit house of prayer. In both positions, I spoke frequently to groups, and enjoyed teaching, encouraging, and connecting as I spoke.
As I prayed with people, I became aware of many types of life challenges, and have seen how life’s challenges can quickly become overwhelming. Many times, these challenges bring chaos and the resulting clutter with them. There is emotional side to clutter issues. and this issue can be gently addressed if desired.

I would like a microphone if the group is over 20 people.
I will bring a power point presentation on my laptop, but I will need the projection equipment and white screen or wall to project on.

Influences and inspiration

The Professional Organizer who influenced me the most is Emily Barnes. I thoroughly enjoyed her presentations, and her books. I also enjoy Cynthia Murray's teaching style on organization.

The Christian speakers who have influenced me the most are Charley Miller, Roland Rodriguez, Doreen Hanna, and Joan Hunter.

Setup requirements

I need a microphone if group is over 20 people, a projector for power point, a white screen or wall to project onto.
