From the first downbeat to the last encore, we deliver a polished, vibrant, and unforgettable musical experience tailored to your audience. We specialize in traditional New Orleans–style and early swing jazz, recreating the warm brass tones, toe-tapping grooves, and soulful melodies that defined the golden age. Our repertoire draws from legends like Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington—played with deep respect and fresh energy. Whether it’s a wedding cocktail hour, a lively festival, or a themed private party, we know how to set the tone. Our music can fill a room with sophisticated ambiance or get the crowd swinging on the dance floor. We arrive early, come fully prepared with quality sound equipment, and keep the event flowing smoothly. Our band members are seasoned musicians who have performed at top venues and events throughout the Midwest.

Hailing from Indianapolis, The Naptown Strangers bring the golden age of jazz back to life with vibrant energy, impeccable musicianship, and a deep respect for the tradition. Drawing inspiration from the legends—Armstrong, Ellington, and Goodman—this ensemble blends swinging rhythms, soulful solos, and warm ensemble interplay to transport listeners into the era when jazz was king.

We can provide our own PA system for small- to mid-sized events (up to approx. 200 guests). For larger venues or festivals, we’re happy to plug into a house system or a provided PA — please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Minimum of two grounded 110V outlets near the performance area. Separate circuits for sound and lighting are ideal, especially outdoors.

We require 2 hours for load-in, soundcheck, and setup before the performance start time.
Parking/loading access close to the performance area is greatly appreciated.
