Since 2017, Evelyn and Heather have shared a powerful bond through their mutual love of belly dance and artistic collaboration. Over the years, their journey has grown from shared performances to a shared vision— that vision becomes reality with the launch of Mystic Lotus Dance Collective (MLDC).

Based in the Pacific Northwest, MLDC is more than just a dance group; it’s a vibrant and inclusive community rooted in creativity, connection, and the evolution of belly dance. Evelyn and Heather founded MLDC with a shared mission: to create a safe, empowering space where dancers from all backgrounds feel seen, celebrated, and inspired. Whether it's through immersive performances, intimate community haflas, dynamic competitions, or nonprofit collaborations, MLDC is dedicated to uplifting artists and audiences alike.

To ensure the best possible performance, Mystic Lotus Dance Collective requires the following:
Dance Surface: A smooth, flat area is essential for safe movement as we dance barefoot. If the performance is outdoors, we prefer a shaded area.

Sound: We need access to a power source for our portable speaker, or a provided sound system with either a 3.5mm auxiliary input or Bluetooth capability for music playback.

Staging: For performances longer than 15 minutes, a designated staging area is requested to support seamless transitions and prop use.

Dressing Rooms: While not required, private changing areas or dressing rooms are preferred for costume changes and preparation.

These requirements help us deliver a polished, safe, and engaging performance for both clients and audiences.
