March 26, 2026We hired them to do a private murder mystery event for our business retreat. It was TERRIBLE. Not only did they completely rush it (it was supposed to be two hours, and it was about one hour and 25 minutes, and we didn't have time to even try to figure out the mystery), but they were completely unprepared. There were characters that were supposed to have supplies (stickers, tax forms, etc) and they didn't bring any of that. There were 19 of us and the *entire* group hated the experience and thought it was a complete waste of time. The best part of it was laughing at each other in costume, and we could have done that ourselves.

Opening Statement
We take all feedback seriously—especially when it feels like a mystery itself. We’re genuinely sorry anyone had a “terrible time.” That’s never our goal. But as any good detective knows… feelings and facts don’t always align.
Clue #1: The Missing Minutes
The event was designed as a 2-hour experience integrated with a meal. When meal integration was declined, we adapted to a continuous format, shortening runtime to about 1 hour 25 minutes—while still delivering all key plot points and opportunities to solve the crime.
Clue #2: The “Missing Supplies”
Items like stickers and tax forms are typically part of our dinner format and serve as thematic extras—not essential to gameplay. Due to the adjusted format, they were not included, as they would not have impacted solving the mystery.
Clue #3: Solving the Crime
Guests were given sufficient clues and time to investigate. However, no one reached the correct solution. Sometimes, an unsolved mystery can feel more frustrating than fun—and for that, we do apologize.
