Alum of the millennium’s digi-busy turn, Sicilian-American, DC-raised sound explorer Roberto Farruggio, AKA Roberto Fa, is your very idea of an undefinable profile and multi-faceted artist. In parallel to his design and photography studies at the world-renowned Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, Farruggio has developed a multi-strain approach to art, organically branching out in the fields of design, fashion, film and, obviously, music.

After stints as a video producer at VICE and photographer for Harper’s Bazaar, Roberto slowly but surely took the bend towards music production, his swift evolution culminating in a series of tireless studio sessions after a visit at Ortigia Sound System festival (Sicily) in the summer of ‘21. Keeping himself busy tweaking his gear, sampler and software until they spit out melodic sense, Farruggio operates his machines like a mad scientist in search of the right elixir, his polyamorous blends spanning every possible genre - from electronica to instrumental hip-hop, through dub, breaks, downtempo, house, ambient, jazz… et al.

Grinding the broadest spectrum of influence in music, from vivid Nintendo 64 soundtracks to seminal robot duo Daft Punk, via classic film score - Mansell and Zimmer at the frontline - and visionary acts including Vangelis and Tangerine Dream to name but a few, Roberto Fa aims at the sense-awakening fractal rather than the unified picture, letting his inspirations ooze through variegated tapestries of sound to dream, dance and make love to.

I produce with Ableton Live. Delivery in WAVs or MP3s. Can be any audio format you prefer.
