Marcia was born into a musical family, so her roots in music go back to her birth.
She has performed up and down the West Coast and all over the Puget Sound region and into British Columbia, both solo and with a variety of different bands from vocal groups and acoustic duos to 8 or 10 piece dance and stage bands.
Currently, in addition to her solo act, she is working with a 4 piece electric band.
She has hosted open mics, songwriters' showcases, variety shows, group concerts and radio programs, bringing some of the best local and regional performing artists and singer/songwriters to the public in her northwest area presentations.
An award winning songwriter and presenter in her home city in NW Washington state, Marcia has been called a "community Treasure" and "a major influence on the acoustic music scene". She has released four albums of her original music on CDs, and has done studio vocals for other musicians' releases.
She is also good at engaging people and involving them in the music. She has lots of experience running campfire sing-alongs, and her concerts include entertaining stories and artwork along with music. The artwork is part of her sideline which is graphic arts and sculpture.
If Marcia provides her own sound, please provide a correctly wired and grounded electrical outlet at the stage area, which should be at least 6 foot square for a solo act and 12 foot or larger for a band, with adequate lighting.
If the sound is to be furnished by the venue, please also provide a good quality vocal mic, a direct in for the guitar and a monitor for her solo act, adding more mics or direct-ins and monitors for additional performers, plus stage lighting if necessary.
