Mrs. Christmas

Mrs. Santa Claus (or Mrs. Christmas) arrives on a scooter, ringing Santa's bells, as she gaily shouts "Merry Christmas!" She wears a long, red gown, fur-trimmed cape, jewels and gloves. If you prefer, she arrives with an elf or two. Mrs. Claus entertains your guests for a short 15 minutes to distribute your gifts or candy canes, and to tell a few quick tales of the magical North Pole or a few Christmas jokes. Or, Mrs. Claus can stay longer to entertain by leading several Christmas-themed adult or children's games (Trivia, Ornament Exchange, Christmas Left-Right, Minute to Win It); read a Christmas book; tell stories; pose for photos; quietly visit or lead imagery-reminiscing sessions with seniors; sit with children to hear their wishes; talk about Christmas customs around the world; greet guests at your front door; discuss kindness, sharing and the Spirit of Christmas with children...Well, use Your imagination! Mrs. Claus is perfect for large or small gatherings at homes, charity events, hospitals, shelters, senior facilities, schools or military.

As Mrs. Claus and Mrs. Christmas, I have performed at a variety of events in Solano and Sonoma counties. Every event is different and is custom-designed to meet the requests of the hosts and their guests.

Large events (300-500) have included Travis Air Force Base's "Tree Lighting Ceremony" where I met individually with hundreds of children waiting to meet Santa Claus. Many of these children are without a parent during the holidays, and find it comforting to whisper their secrets or worries to Mrs. Claus. Another large event includes Kiwanis' "Breakfast with Santa" for hundreds of adoptees and their families where my elves and I visit each table to speak with children and their new families. We tell jokes, listen to wishes, let them hold stuffed animals and listen to Mr. Mouse play his Christmas piano.

My smaller gatherings (10-100) have included entertainment at private homes for family and corporate parties, senior living facilities, a college library, kindergartens, and private charity fundraisers. At these gatherings, we offer both adult and children's options. For children, we often read stories, talk about the North Pole, play games, and listen to Christmas present wishes. For adults, we play fun games which keep folks merry and bright!

I am married, with three step-children and 10 step-grandchildren. During my career, I worked in the high-tech industry in Silicon Valley as a human resources executive. Now retired, I love travelling (48 countries) and party planning and decorating. I am a non-denominational minister, a member of Rotary International, and have a children's show on cable TV called "Mrs. Beesly's Home."

Mrs. Claus only needs a chair to sit on. If you have a large event, a microphone is helpful. If you wish her to distribute candy canes, gifts, or game presents, you may purchase them, or Mrs. Claus can be reimbursed, at cost.
