Overview
Moya bring Africa to you through creative song, dance, drums, storytelling and audience participation. MOYA is a West African term originating from the Mandingo Ancestry which means "Family." MOYA's entourage consists of percussionists, performing artists, masked dancers, stilts walkers, fire eaters, etc. Professional Features Include: Performances, workshops, classes, residencies, tours after school Programs, educational outreach programs, mentoring, lectures and private engagements. No worries, Moya come with insurance as well!

Caribbean/Island Music
Moya was everything that we had hoped for and even more. We had two separate performances for kids aged 3-14 at our shows and everyone loved it. The performers were entertaining, fun, and extremely kind. We've had kids singing the songs from the show and doing the dances ever since they left. Everyone was extremely professional as well, and very patient and loving towards the kids. Teachers have been stopping by ever since to talk about how much they enjoyed the shows and couldn't wait to see them again!

Our community LOVED Moya! They did two performances for us, a 30 min performance in the afternoon for 600 elementary students and then a 45 min performance in the evening for students/families/community members. Even though they had a 5 hour drive home after the 6pm performance, they were gracious and allowed children to take photos, play the drums, etc. We were so blessed to spend time with all the performers of Moya. I highly recommend them to anyone!

Moya opened our Ball and got the crowd excited and in good spirits! He arrived on time and was ready to perform. He was gracious and professional and worked well with our team of African drummers and dancers. Moya is welcome back anytime!

Our educational goals are specifically to incorporate ISBE Goals related to: Physical Development and Health, Fine Arts, Foreign Languages and English Language Arts. MOYA's entourage consists of percussionists, performing artists, masked dancers, stilts walkers, fire eaters, etc. Professional Features Include: Performances, workshops, classes, residencies,tours after school Programs, educational outreach programs, mentoring, lectures and private engagements.
