Amazing Group, Very Talented!

By Monica J. on July 22, 2013

I have booked Mount and Lion for several events at my Restaurant and after every single show, my guests have had nothing but compliments, the boys are extremely talented and sound amazing. I was extremely pleased with their performance, more importantly so were my guests and the owners. The majority of their playlist is before their time, but they mastered it to fit the personality and chemistry of the group. They are very professional and I would love to have them back in the future. Very pleased.

With Rock, Blues, Jazz, and even Folk roots, Mount and Lion performs the music of Harrison Edwards and his longtime band mate and rhythmic collaborator Brandon Pertzborn. With intricate and compelling riffs, engaging rhythms, and powerful vocals that channel classic influences like Hendrix, Vaughn, and Zappa, Mount and Lion clearly incorporates the sounds of contemporary artists like the Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tame Impala, Grizzly Bear, and the Black Keys to deliver a style all their own.

Whether playing his signature red Jaguar or his trusty Martin, Harrison is an engaging front man who has been a regular in Dallas-Fort Worth venues, restaurants, and street corners. You'll enjoy Harrison’s original music sprinkled with fresh and innovative performances of classic tunes and crowd favorites.

Mount and Lion’s new release available online features all original songs that strike you, at once, as gritty and smooth, raw and intricate, transparent and mysterious. Full of emotion and energy, the songs don’t always directly tell the story, but paint hints of a back-story and draw in the listener as they try to fill in the gaps. You can sense the energy of the band as they recorded the songs in one or two takes each over a quick two days in the studio. From the soul to the fingers and vocal chords to the mics. No frills, no franken-mixing, no do-overs. Its real, straight ahead music making that will leave you wanting more.
